Prototype

One of the games that I'm looking forward to most has a firm release date now. IGN is reporting that Prototype will release in the US on June 9. Of this year! I seriously can't wait. 

There aren't too many details out about this game right now, but it is an open world game (a la GTA) in which you play Alex Mercer, a shape shifter (!!!!) with no memory of his past whose entire purpose in the game is to find out where he came from. The gameplay promises all the joy of Mirror's Edge parkour style gameplay mixed with lots of Alex-Mercer-is-a-badass-destruction.Game Informer previewed this game something like a year ago, and it's been on my radar ever since. 

June 9 is going to be one sweet day.
