Good evening! I should be in bed right now, but I must first provide some advertising for a friend. My pal, awesome musician, and all around good guy Gavin Mikhail has posted a pretty nifty YouTube video. It's his fantastic cover of Likin Park's "New Divide." Now, Gavin took a song that was already pretty good and made it into something far more beautiful... far more powerful. You really should be watching this video right now!!
Anyway, enough talking from me. Here's the video in all its high def embedded glory.

Check This Song Out
If the NFL has one thing correct, it's that music makes everything better, including the bone-rattling explosions that pass as tackles in football. The NFL has long used the imagery of the players on the football field as gladiators engaging in epic battle, and few things put this imagery accross quite as effectively as a highlight reel backed by some epic classical music.
A few years ago, the NFL partnered with two composers who go by the name E.S. Posthumus to put together some epic sounding classical music to accompany commercials, highlight reels, and films. The latest piece to come from this union aired Sunday night prior to the Superbowl. Video inside!

Gavin Mikhail's Newest Album Out NOW!!
Good afternoon, folks.
I keep meaning to post this, but I keep getting sidetracked, so here we go (finally!).
My good friend Gavin Mikhail has released his new album (well, EP really), "The Real World Sessions, Vol 1", which covers his time at Real World Studios and the AMAZING recordings he did over there. I highly, highly recommend this one (and not just because he's a cool guy... the music is awesome too), so everybody should just mosey on over to the links I'll post below, and buy it. Multiple copies even! :)
Anyway, pick it up off of iTunes by clicking here. <-- (Edit: working on the link Edit 2: It's working now!) This link will open iTunes, so don't click it if you don't have it. Purchase the whole album to get a bunch of exclusive content, including the super-hot graphics.
Or, for a limited time only, he'll burn you a copy of the CD (including the sweet graphics) and autograph it if you purchase it here. I recommend this purchase method, because autographs are cool. While you're there, pick up his other two CDs as well - you won't be disappointed.
For those of you who don't like buying before trying, check out Gavin's MySpace page to hear the awesomeness for yourself.
Now go!

A Favor, If I May
Good day to all!
I have a request for those of you who live in Colorado, and it's as much for your benefit as for mine. Anybody can participate, but especially those of you in Colorado. I have a friend who lives in Nashville who writes the most amazing music I've ever heard. His name is Gavin Mikhail, and I would absolutely, more than anything ever, love to see him in concert anywhere in Colorado.
So... here's where you come in. Head on over to his MySpace page and listen to some of his really, really awesome songs. They're cool, and it's free, so you've got no reason not to. Then, once you've appreciated the music, add him as a friend then come back here and click the cool button on the left.
Not only will you have discovered some really awesome new music, you'll have done something so we can all go see a kick ass concert! It's win-win. Now go, do it, do it now! :)
