So, as many Apple supporters and haters alike know, Apple flat out refuses to support Adobe's Flash product in their mobile devies. iPones, iPod Touches, iPads... none of them will work with flash content.
Soooooo, I stumbled across this article - on Apples's very own website, no less. It introduces their most recent, ah, allies in the fight against all things Flash.
The, ahem, drumroll please....... pornography industry.
No, seriously. Read the article. It's a hoot.
All this is kinda funny when you consider that Apple doesn't allow such content to be distributed through their App Store. Just sayin'.
Of course, I have no bleeding idea why Apple won't support Flash on its portable devices - lord knows they sure do on their laptop and personal computers. I imagine that it falls somewhere in the lines of Adobe refusing to make a Flash product that falls in line with Apples "high" standards. I say "high" in the most respectful of senses considering the quality control nightmare that has been the iPhone 4.
Speaking of the iPhone 4, it sure does have its fair share of issues... up to and including, "You're holding it wrong" (see here and here). Issues, I can understand those, but Apple's absurd responses to said issues (see here and here and here) really make me lose interest in purchasing an iPhone. Anroid, anybody?

I have a Droid and can say really positive things about Android OS, but not about Verizon. Crappy reception pretty much everywhere, which, since this is the first time I've had Verizon, I'm unsure whether to blame the carrier or the device. Android is just swell, though. It's Market is inferior to Apple's App Store in ways that make it ludicrous to compare the two, but otherwise Android is a totally reliable OS.
Yeah, the Android app store is kind of disappointing, and especially so when you consider that its lack of regulation allows some really broken programs to make it through. Apple's screening process at least ensures that when you buy an app, it works correctly.
